How is this different from an ordinary off-the-shelf parts washing sink?
The biggest difference is the heat. A heated cleaning fluid loosens grease where a cold fluid only slides over it. On top of that, the solution runs through the brush, so you brush and rinse in a single movement. And the sink itself lasts: fully stainless steel, with a level sensor that protects the pump and the heating element from running dry. A cold plastic tub with a small submersible pump does none of those three.
Which fluid do I use in this manual parts washer?
A water-based cleaner, not a solvent. Phibo supplies the cleaners and additives from its own stock, matched to your contamination and to the material of your parts. For aluminium, for example, the cleaner is not the same as for steel.
How much space does it take up?
The unit is designed to take up little space and fits alongside a workbench. Allow some free space in front of it so you can work comfortably. You receive the external dimensions of the version you choose with your quotation.
When am I better off moving to an automatic machine?
As soon as someone stands at the manual parts washer every day, or as soon as you clean the same parts in series. A cycle in a top loading parts washer runs by itself and takes no manpower. We work out what that saves you, based on your quantities. The manual parts washer stays useful alongside it, for one-off work and for touching up.
Can I clean large parts in it as well?
The load capacity is 50 kg and the work area 900 x 600 mm. Larger or heavier parts belong in a high-pressure parts washer cabinet or a spray parts washer.
Which cleaner or additive do I use in this machine?
We supply the cleaner with the machine, because it helps determine the result. Phibo has its own range of water-based cleaners and additives, from corrosion-inhibiting cleaners to defoamers. We choose the product and the dosage that suit your parts together with you, based on your contamination and the material of your parts.
What happens after I send a request?
We call you. Before we work out a quotation, we go through your parts, your contamination and your volumes together, so that the proposal is right straight away. So you get a real conversation with someone who knows the machines, and not an automatic e-mail with a brochure.
Is the machine CE compliant, and does it have to be inspected every year?
You receive the machine with CE marking, with a declaration of conformity and a manual. An annual inspection keeps the installation safe and reliable. You can arrange that with us in a maintenance service contract, together with the periodic maintenance.
What happens after delivery?
Phibo remains your point of contact. After commissioning and the training of your operators you can cover what follows in a maintenance service contract, so that your installation is inspected periodically and keeps running as it did on day one. We match what goes into your contract to your machine and to how intensively you use it. We put that on paper together with the quotation.
How does it work for service and spare parts?
You arrange maintenance, repairs and overhauls directly with Phibo, and the spare parts as well. For parts that are not in stock, you receive a lead time straight away.
What warranty do I get, and what is the delivery time?
You get one year of warranty, on every machine. The delivery time depends on the installation you choose and is therefore always stated in your quotation.
Is the training of our operators included in the price?
Yes. On delivery and commissioning we train your operators, and that is included in the price. That way everyone who works with the machine knows how to operate and maintain it.
